Questions

Frequently Asked Questions

Start with the soft metal, because it shows hits that the roof hides. Dents in the gutters, downspouts, and window trim, bruised or bald spots on the shingles, a wash of grit at the bottom of the downspouts, cracks in vinyl siding on the side that faced the storm, and torn window screens are the usual evidence. After a storm like the August 2023 one that hit Edina, St. Louis Park, Richfield, and Minneapolis, most roof damage is not visible from the ground, which is why we inspect from the roof.

Five steps, and you stay in charge of your claim throughout. We inspect and photograph every damaged area, write an itemized estimate in the format insurers use, you file the claim with your carrier, we meet the adjuster on site if you want us there, and once the claim is approved we pull the permit and schedule the work. A full roof replacement and matched siding are usually the two biggest lines.

The extent of the damage sets it, and the estimate spells it out line by line. How many slopes or walls qualify, whether the shingles can be matched or the whole roof needs replacing, code items such as the ice barrier that a new roof now requires, and dented gutters or trim that come along with it all appear as separate items. You get the same itemized estimate the insurer sees.

Yes. We work with whichever carrier you have. You file the claim and it stays yours from start to finish. Our part is the inspection, the documentation your carrier needs, a seat at the adjuster visit, and the repairs themselves once the claim is settled. We never file, negotiate, or promise an outcome.

We inspect Bloomington and metro homes as soon as we can get to them after a storm, and the claim itself usually takes a few weeks to work through your carrier. Repairs are scheduled as soon as the approval comes through, with materials ordered to match what is on the house. A lifted shingle or a torn section that cannot wait is handled as a roof repair in the meantime.

Our storm crews cover the Twin Cities south and west metro. That includes Apple Valley, Bloomington, Burnsville, Chanhassen, Eagan, Eden Prairie, Edina, Lakeville, Mendota Heights, Minneapolis, Minnetonka, Prior Lake, Richfield, Rosemount, Savage, Shakopee, and St. Louis Park. On the same house we also handle soffit and fascia, Mastic vinyl siding, new windows, James Hardie siding, engineered wood siding, siding replacement, and exterior doors.
